Founder & Managing Director

Scott Roussell

Former collegiate athlete. Entrepreneur.

Scott knows firsthand the struggles athletes face when their competitive careers end. His own post-sports transition inspired him to launch After We Play, transforming personal challenges into a platform that now serves athletes across the world.

His work is rooted in strong family values and timeless life principles, with a deep belief that athletic success and personal growth are inseparable. Through After We Play, Scott is committed to helping athletes navigate pressure, identity, and life beyond sport with clarity, purpose, and resilience.

As Managing Director, Scott leads with empathy and expertise, drawing on his background as both a competitor and a leader. He works closely with universities, youth sports organizations, and professional leagues to deliver programs that protect athlete wellbeing, foster leadership, and prepare players for lifelong success.

Chief Clinical Director

Lori Freeman, PsyD

Licensed Clinical Psychologist. Sport & Performance Psychology.

Trained and licensed as a clinical psychologist with specialized expertise in the unique demands of being a competitor and performer, Dr. Freeman works with athletes to maximize their performance, their overall well-being, and their satisfaction with life.

In her private practice in Charlottesville, Virginia, Dr. Freeman focuses on mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders and disordered eating, body image concerns, trauma and PTSD, adjustment difficulties, and relationship issues. She is integrative in her approach, using interventions that are empirically supported and that fit her clients' needs.

  • B.S., Northwestern University, where she was a varsity student-athlete and captain of the Women's Swimming and Diving program
  • Master's and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology, with a specialization in Sport-Performance Psychology, from La Salle University in Philadelphia
  • Sport psychology and mental health services to student-athletes across Big 12, SEC and Big Ten athletic departments
  • Licensed in Virginia and through PSYPACT, providing care to adolescent, collegiate and professional athletes nationwide

Josh Fly

Founder, FlyLife Performance & Wellness Coaching.

Josh has spent his career in the fitness industry as a performance coach, endurance athlete, and humanitarian dedicated to helping others unlock their full potential. As founder of FlyLife Performance & Wellness Coaching, he integrates fitness, breathwork, and adventure to help people thrive in body, mind, and spirit.

With nearly two decades of experience spanning personal training, corporate wellness, endurance coaching, and humanitarian fundraising, Josh has coached individuals and teams in building strength, balance, and resilience. He holds certifications in performance training, behavioral change, and breath science, and leads workshops on stress regulation, mindfulness, and lifestyle management for schools, organizations, and businesses. His goal is to inspire others by making movement enjoyable, sharing credible science, and guiding people toward sustainable health, happiness, and vitality.

Robin Miller

Community building, partnerships and program development.

Robin Miller is a strategic community-builder and partnership leader who specializes in bringing people, ideas, and organizations together around a shared purpose.

As Pilot Program Director for After We Play, Robin leads the development and implementation of pilot programs designed to support athletes both on and off the field. She works closely with athletes, parents, coaches, club leaders, educators, and community partners to create meaningful connections, strengthen communication, and build environments where athletes can thrive.

With a background in nonprofit leadership, marketing, community engagement, and program development, Robin is passionate about helping organizations turn vision into action and creating initiatives that generate lasting impact for the people they serve.
