Athletes do not just come to the end of a schedule. They walk away from a way of living. 10X is a guided reflection that helps them close it properly, and take the useful parts with them.
10X is a structured process for making sense of a playing career: letting go of the pressure of what comes next, and working out what the sport actually gave you that nothing else would have.
Field, court, mat or track. The ending is the same shape whichever one you are walking off.
Whether an athlete leaves well has very little to do with how the career went and almost everything to do with whether anybody helped them put it down.
Confusion about who you are without the schedule. Regret about the things that did not happen and the things you did not say. A quiet emptiness that is hard to explain to anybody who was not in it, so mostly you do not try.
You said the true version out loud and you know what it was worth. What comes with you is wisdom rather than unfinished business, and momentum instead of a hole where the season used to be.
Worked through at your own pace. Nobody is marking them and nobody else has to see them.
The questions are the program. Writing the answer down is what makes it stick.
Say it out loud to camera or to audio if you want to. Plenty of people never do, and it still works.
A printable page in your own words about what the career meant. The one artefact you keep.
Materials that set up the six session program, if you decide to carry on into it.
Included in every After We Play plan. The pricing page has what a plan costs.
The last season of playing before the thing that has organized your week since you were small simply stops.
When the end has a date on it and everybody keeps asking what is next.
Changing careers, and finding out how much of the identity came with the job.
The people who want to give an athlete closure and do not have a way to start the conversation.
Ready to move on, and unwilling to leave the lessons behind on the way out.
The method borrows from therapeutic storytelling and from the research on identity: you tell the story of your own athletic life the way you would want somebody to tell it if you were not in the room. All of it, not the highlights. Told truthfully, that is not a eulogy. It is an accounting.
Built between After We Play and Shark Jockey, so the structure holds without flattening anybody's story into a template.
10X is a reflective program, not clinical care. Nothing in it is medical or psychological advice. Leaving a sport can bring up more than a workbook should be asked to hold, and when it does, Mindflow's licensed clinicians are reachable from inside the platform.
If you or somebody you know is in immediate danger, contact emergency services, or call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
10X is where most athletes start with After We Play. It closes the chapter that is ending. What follows is the work of building the next one.
The Invisible Game is the flagship: six sessions on handling the pressure of competition, rebuilding identity and preparing for life after sport. 10X ends with the prep materials for it, so the two run on from each other rather than overlapping.
Fifteen questions, and you will know where you actually are before you spend a module finding out.
